Culinary Classes*
In your home** or at my Test Kitchen in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Culinary Classes are available for every level of cook or chef and for every level of interest and capacity for learning.  Chef Donna Desfor custom designs each class to meet your needs and suit your time schedule.  Best of all, the meal that follows can be enjoyed by your invited guests. 
Class size varies; 2-hour classes generally cost 95 per guest; 4+ hour classes begin at 195 per guest.  All classes include workbook with recipes, tastings, food, and are hands on in the test kitchen.

All the tips and tricks you need to navigate your kitchen and turn out great tasting meals.  4- 6 hour session; concludes with dinner for you, your class-mates and your invited guests. Some restrictions may apply.

Delicious cuisine begins with understanding the fundamentals of taste.  Learn to sharpen your own palate and that of your guests.  Tastings are conducted as social learning events.  Tastings are completely hands-on.  You will receive written materials and be instructed through a guided exploration of your selected taste or flavor profile.  Classes are approximately 2 to 3 hours and are a delightful alternative to corporate socials and parties, or meetings.  Perfect for bridal showers, or mixers.  Or just for a great night out.

Wine and Food Pairings -
The Perfect Match.  Elegant food and terrific wine pairings.  Select a three or four course menu and sample different wines with each.  Learn the basics of food and wine pairing; as important, learn what pairings you like best.

Consulting Services:
Services are generally billed hourly at 100 per hour.**  However, for group or packaged services (training/design consulting, etc.) price is bundled and based on the entire complement of service provided.

Menu and Recipe Development
For restaurants, for chefs writing cookbooks, for a new spin on your old party menu, for new product promotion: Chef creates recipe(s) based on your desired flavor profile or theme.  Includes written (tested) recipe(s), notes, or script for professional presentations. 

Staff Training in Service and Food and Wine Pairing-
Short, easy to understand training sessions for your staff to take your service and waitstaff to the next level.  Topics include learning to explain seasonal menus, food and wine pairing, proper wine opening/pouring/tasting technique, food styling and presentation.

Kitchen Design/Consulting Services -
Don't undertake a kitchen design without an expert to guide you through placement and selection of the best equipment for your life and lifestyle.  Designers use formulas; Chefs use practical experience to place everything from lights, to electrical outlets to garbage disposals to plumbing.  Services also include assistance in identifying the best materials for your design, and work with your designer or builder, or both, through the construction.  Services also available to locate, purchase, and train you on kitchen small electrics, dishware, tablesetting, and wine glasses/bar ware.

Private Chef Services -
For your personal or professional needs, and small (up to 12 people) affair catering.  Chef provides best available and freshest foods in a creative, delicious style tailored to reflect you, your business, or your theme.

Test Tasting Dinners.
Get ready!  Chef Donna Desfor's famous Test Tasting dinners are coming back to Central PA.  Beginning in early 2010, with the opening of her Tasting Room The Baudelaire Onion, tasting dinners will be offered.  Seats to each dinner are by invitation only and invitations are offered on a first paid, first reserved basis.  Follow the link for more information and get ready to enjoy one of the best meals and most creative and enjoyable evenings you've had!
